The Old School House is in Sunk Island. It's an old Victorian school built in 1857. We live next door in the old classrooms.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the double bedrooms is downstairs, open-plan with the living area. The stairs are normal. The ground floor bathroom is a wet room with handrails.
The garden has seating. It's surrounded by hedges but it's not fully fenced because it's a conservation area. You get the whole thing to yourselves.
It's very rural. The views from the upstairs bedrooms look out over fields towards the Humber. The coast path is about a mile away. For a proper beach, Easington or Withernsea are about ten miles. Spurn Point Nature Reserve is nearby for seals and birds.
Hull and Beverley are within half an hour if you want a city or shops. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is further up the coast. Burton Constable Hall is a stately home you can visit.
We provide bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Parking is on site. It's listed as wheelchair accessible because of the ground floor bedroom and wet room, but check the photos to see if it suits your needs.
We sometimes offer home-cooked evening meals or a cooked breakfast in our kitchen next door. That's optional and needs arranging beforehand.
We have two dogs and two cats. The property listing says it accepts pets, but that's for your pets. Ours stay in our part.
