The Cheese Loft Damnaglaur

The Cheese Loft is on our farm, Slockmill, near Damnaglaur. It's a first-floor flat, converted from an old cheese store. You get the whole place to yourselves.

It sleeps two in one double bedroom. There's a shower room upstairs and a separate toilet downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. We keep it clean and comfy. The main room is open plan with a wood burner. We leave you some logs to get started.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is handy for that.

The view is the main thing. It looks south over our fields, then the cliffs and the sea. You can see the Mull of Galloway lighthouse from the window on a clear day. It's about a ten minute drive to get there. The Mull of Galloway has the lighthouse, a café, and the RSPB reserve. Drummore village is closer, maybe five minutes. It's got a shop, a pub, and a chip shop.

The coast around here is good for walking. There are beaches at Luce Bay. If you're into golf, there's a course at Portpatrick, about half an hour away.

Inside, it's got what you'd need: TV, WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are included.

For planning, these sites are useful: National Trust for Scotland at the Mull and Galloway Forest Park, which is about a 40 minute drive if you fancy a change from the coast.
