Poona Cottage is near Cadnam, on the edge of the New Forest. It's a detached stone house. It's old, so the ceilings are low in some doorways, and the stairs are cottage stairs. Watch your head.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one downstairs and one ensuite off the main bedroom. There's a wood burner in one of the lounges. The garden is enclosed and quite big. It's quiet.
You're basically just outside the New Forest boundary fence. You can walk straight out onto the open heath from here. The ponies and cattle wander around freely, so you need to drive carefully on the local lanes.
Lyndhurst is about three miles for shops and cafes. Brockenhurst is a bit further, maybe ten minutes by car. There's a decent pub in the village, about a five minute walk.
If you've got kids, Paultons Park is ten minutes up the road. For the coast, Milford-on-Sea is about twenty minutes drive. The National Trust looks after a lot of the forest, and the New Forest National Park Authority site has good maps for walking and cycling.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, parking for two cars on the gravel. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
