Piersland Mews is a mews house in Troon. It's part of the old stable block for the Piersland House Hotel, which was built by the Johnnie Walker whisky family. It’s on the ground floor, which is all on one level.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, both doubles. They each have two double beds, which some people like for space. One has an ensuite and there’s a main bathroom as well, both with showers.
It's about five minutes' walk to the beach. You go down a lane and you're there. It backs onto the golf course. Royal Troon is literally next door, so if you're here to play golf you couldn’t be closer. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs right past.
Troon is a golf town. Royal Troon is the famous one, but there are others. It's also a proper seaside town. There's a harbour, a marina, and a long sandy beach. You can get the train to Glasgow, it takes about 40 minutes.
Facilities wise: you've got a private, enclosed garden. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
For things to do, Culzean Castle is about a 20 minute drive. The Isle of Arran is a short ferry trip from Ardrossan, which is ten minutes down the road. For walking routes and maps, the Ayrshire Coastal Path site is useful, and the National Trust for Scotland page for Culzean has all the details for there.
