Tigh Beag is a one-bedroom ground floor apartment in Troon. It sleeps two. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean rather than luxurious.
The place is all on one level. You've got your own enclosed patio area out the back, which gets the sun. Parking is right there, and there's an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
It's a short walk to the promenade and the beach, maybe ten minutes. The town centre, with shops and restaurants, is a little further, about fifteen minutes on foot. There are a couple of pubs closer than that.
Troon itself is a proper seaside town. There's a long sandy beach, a marina, and of course the golf. Royal Troon is right there. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs through the town if you like walking.
You can get ferries from Troon over to the Isle of Arran. From Ardrossan, which is about a fifteen minute drive, you can get ferries to Arran and to the Isle of Cumbrae. It's about half an hour to the ferry for Bute from Wemyss Bay. Ayr is about twenty minutes away by car.
Glasgow is easy to get to, about forty minutes by car or by train from Troon station. Edinburgh is about an hour and a half all in.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets, sorry.
