The Brackens is out in Manley, just north of Frodsham. It's a detached annexe in our garden, so we're next door if you need anything, but you've got the place and the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps two, but there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom is upstairs, with a king bed and a single. It has its own ensuite shower room. Downstairs, off the living room, there's a second bedroom with a double bed. It's quite small and cosy, and it has a curtain instead of a door. There's no bathroom down there, so you'd use the one upstairs.
The living room has a wood burner, which is nice in the cooler months. You get two verandas, one upstairs and one down, both facing south over the fields. The garden's about an acre, with different places to sit. There's a wood-fired hot tub under a cover so you can use it anytime, and a summer house.
For things to do, Delamere Forest is about ten minutes away for walking or cycling. Forestry England Delamere has trail maps. Chester is twenty minutes drive. The zoo is good, and the city walls and Roman bits are worth seeing. Oulton Park circuit is fifteen minutes away if that's your interest.
Liverpool and Manchester are both around forty-five minutes if you fancy a day in the city. North Wales, like the coast around Llangollen, is under an hour. Beeston Castle is on the way there.
Facilities: There's parking, WiFi, TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We have an electric vehicle charger. The local pub, the White Lion, is a few minutes down the road in the village.
