Faodail

Faodail is a detached house on the outskirts of Portree. It's a single-storey place, so no stairs to worry about. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

You get the place to yourselves, with a garden and parking. The main living area is open plan. Patio doors lead out to the patio from both the lounge and the dining area. It has underfloor heating, which is good for Skye. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

Portree centre is about a fifteen-minute walk. You've got the harbour there, shops, cafes, and places to eat. The house is on a quiet road.

For getting out, you're well placed. The Old Man of Storr is about a fifteen-minute drive north. Kilt Rock and the Quiraing are up that way too. Going west, Dunvegan Castle is about half an hour away. The Fairy Pools at Glen Brittle are roughly forty minutes drive.

You can get boat trips from Portree harbour or from Elgol, which is about an hour's drive, to see the sea life. For walking, the Walkhighlands Skye page is useful. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Glen Brittle.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
