Greenhill
Greenhill is a bungalow in Toravaig, just outside Portree on Skye. It's detached, so you're on your own. The main thing is the view. You look out over the water to Ben Tianavaig. You see the Sound of Raasay. It's a good spot to sit and watch the weather come in.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated, so it's in good order. There's an open fire in the living room. The garden is fully enclosed, which is useful if you've got kids or dogs. You can bring two dogs.
It's very quiet. You're at the end of a road. But you can walk into Portree in about twenty minutes along the Scorrybreac trail, which starts right by the house. Driving to the shops in Portree takes about five minutes.
You might see eagles from the garden. They nest on the cliffs nearby. Sometimes there are dolphins in the bay, too.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking for a couple of cars right outside.
