Shore View is a bungalow in Portree, in a quieter bit called Bayfield. It looks right out over the bay towards the Cuillin hills. The view is very good.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, more of a straightforward holiday home than a fancy one.
The front looks over the water. The beach is about twenty yards away, just down from the garden. You can hear the water. You get one parking space on the gravel drive.
It's a ten minute walk along the shore into the centre of Portree. There's a shop and a pub about 200 yards back up the road if you need something quickly. A restaurant is even closer, maybe 100 yards.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove which is nice in the evenings. It has a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
For things to do, you're on Skye so walking is the main thing. There are coastal paths right from the door. For boat trips or a swim, you go into Portree. The Isle of Skye website has a lot of information. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Glencoe and other places, which is about an hour and a half drive if you fancied a day trip.
Dunvegan Castle, the old churches, and the Talisker distillery are all within about a forty minute drive.
