The Cottage is in Gedintailor, which is a hamlet on Skye. It's on our family croft land, so it's quiet. You're right by the sea.
It's a traditional single-storey cottage from the 1700s. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The main room has a multi-fuel stove that heats the whole place. It works well.
You're about a ten-minute drive from Portree. That's where the main shops are, and places to eat. There's a swimming pool and a cinema there too. The harbour does boat trips.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. The coastal walks from here are lovely. For a beach day, Coral Beach near Dunvegan is about 40 minutes by car. Famous places like the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing are within half an hour. The Fairy Pools are maybe 45 minutes. If you want proper hill walking, the Cuillin range is right there. An outdoor company in Portree can sort you with gear or guides if you need it.
In the cottage, you've got a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. It's detached, with its own garden and parking. No pets, sorry.
