The Coach House

The Coach House is on Westgate in Southwell. It's a detached single-storey building that used to be a coach house. It's for two people. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.

It's been done up recently, so everything's new. There's underfloor heating from an air source heat pump. It keeps the place warm. There's one bedroom with a super king sized four-poster bed. Blackout blinds on the windows. The bathroom has a bath tub.

You can park right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger. The garden is enclosed, with a patio area.

Southwell's a small town. The Little Brunette Bakery is right across the road for coffee and pastries. The town centre is a five minute walk through the park. There are a few pubs, a couple of cafes, and some independent shops. They have a market on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The main thing here is Southwell Minster. It's a beautiful cathedral, well worth a look. The Archbishop's Palace gardens are next to it. The National Trust's The Workhouse is about a ten minute walk from the centre. It's an interesting, if sobering, place.

If you want to drive out, you're in a good spot. Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak are about 25 minutes away. Newark-on-Trent is 20 minutes, with its castle and antiques centre. Nottingham is half an hour. Lincoln, with the castle and the Magna Carta, is about 45 minutes. For a big day out, Chatsworth House in Derbyshire is around an hour's drive.

The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's bike storage if you bring them.
