The Cowshed is near Southwell, in Nottinghamshire. It's a converted barn on a farm. It's one of three cottages here, so it's not totally isolated, but it's quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is open plan downstairs. There's a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a patio area.
The stairs to the bedrooms are a single flight, but they're a bit steep. It's fine, just mind your head.
You can walk into Southwell in about half an hour, or drive in five minutes. There's a good deli, a couple of bakeries, and a few pubs. The Minster is worth a look. There are some useful sites for planning: National Trust Southwell Workhouse and Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre.
Within a half hour drive, you've got Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest, and Southwell Racecourse. Newark and Nottingham are about twenty minutes away. Lincoln is a bit further, maybe forty minutes.
Facilities: there's wifi, parking, the bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one. No pets, I'm afraid. It can connect to the cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
