St Peters

St Peters is in Highway, just outside Hilmarton. It's a converted Victorian church, from 1867, on our family's farm. So it's in the middle of fields, very quiet. You get the whole building and the garden to yourselves.

It sleeps up to seven people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bath is upstairs, the shower's downstairs. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's got a wood burner for cooler nights. Because it's a church, the ceilings are high and the main door is, well, a big church door. The staircase is grand but also quite steep, like you'd expect.

The garden is fully enclosed and quite big. There's a table that seats eight, a barbecue, and a fire pit. It's safe for dogs and kids to run around.

Inside, the kitchen is proper, with a big range cooker. There's a washing machine and dishwasher as well. All bedding and towels are included. The wifi works fine.

You're in the North Wessex Downs area here. For a day out, Avebury stone circle is about a 25 minute drive. Stonehenge is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Lacock Abbey is lovely and about 20 minutes away. If you've got children, Bowood Adventure Park is 15 minutes away and the Cotswold Water Park is about half an hour.

For towns, Devizes and Marlborough are nice market towns, each about a 15 to 20 minute drive. The M4 is about 10 miles away at Junction 16, so it's easy to get to from elsewhere.

You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right next to the property.
