The Stable
The Stable is in Foxham. It's down a track next to our farmhouse, which is a listed building. The cottage looks out over our farm and the fields. The Wilts and Berks canal runs through the bottom of the land.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level once you're in, but there are two small steps at the front door. The doorways are standard width.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio with a table and a BBQ. The view from there is good, just fields.
The pub in the village is about a quarter of a mile away, a five minute walk. It serves food. The nearest shop is in a bigger village, about a mile's drive.
You can walk from the door. There are footpaths through the wildflower meadows here, and you can follow the canal towpath. The views are pretty wide from the top of the ridge.
For days out, Lacock Abbey village is about fifteen minutes by car. Avebury stone circle is maybe twenty minutes. Castle Combe and Malmesbury are close too. Bowood House has gardens and an adventure playground. Bath is under half an hour if you hit the traffic right.
Facilities wise: it's got a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, wifi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
