The Stable Foxham

This is The Stable. It's the converted stable block from our old farmhouse next door. The farmhouse is listed, so we can't change it much, but the stable was a blank slate. It looks out over the farm and the fields.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works, but it's not a hotel. You're on a farm.

The Wilts & Berks canal runs through the bottom of the land. There are good walks from the door, through the wildflower meadows we manage. The views are wide.

The pub is about a five minute walk up the lane. They do food. The nearest shop is in the next village, about a mile and a half drive.

You're in a good spot for seeing things. Lacock Abbey is about fifteen minutes by car. It's a National Trust village. National Trust Lacock. Avebury stone circle is a similar distance. It's managed by English Heritage. English Heritage Avebury. Castle Combe and Malmesbury are close. Bowood House has its gardens and adventure playground.

Bath is about half an hour's drive if you want a city day. The Roman Baths are the main thing, but just walking around is good.

As for the cottage itself: there's a woodburning stove for colder nights. The garden is enclosed, with a patio and a BBQ. There's parking. It's all on one level, so the entrance and the main living space are wheelchair accessible. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
