Nupton Hop Kiln

Nupton Hop Kiln is just outside the village of Canon Pyon in Herefordshire. It's a detached old hop kiln that's been done up. It sleeps eight.

It's got four bedrooms and four bathrooms, so everyone gets their own space. Three of the bedrooms have their own shower room. They call it a 5 Star place, which basically means it's been finished to a high standard. It's comfortable.

Downstairs is mostly open plan. The kitchen has an island and doors out to the garden. There's a separate living room that's a bit cosier for sitting in. You've got a utility room and a downstairs loo. Outside there's a decent sized garden with a patio, a barbecue, and room to park several cars. The double garage is handy for storing bikes.

The village has a shop, a post office, and a pub that does food. It's a quiet, rural spot with views over the fields.

Herefordshire is good walking country. The Malvern Hills and the Wye Valley are both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are about a half hour drive. There are plenty of National Trust places like Berrington Hall and Croft Castle nearby if that's your thing. The county is known for its cider, so you can follow the Cider Trail, and there's the Black and White Villages trail for seeing the timber-framed houses.

Hereford city is about a 20 minute drive for a bigger shop or the cathedral. Ludlow is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes, but it's a nice market town for a wander and some food.

Facilities wise, it's all there: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
