Violet Cottage Tillington Common

Violet Cottage is out on Tillington Common in Herefordshire. It's detached. You're in the middle of fields here, so it's quiet. The views are green, just fields.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well done. Everything works and it's comfortable. The whole place has underfloor heating. There's a wood burner in the main room too.

The bedroom has a big bed that can be split into two singles if you ask beforehand. There's a separate dressing room with wardrobes. The shower is a walk-in.

Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs, a chimenea, and a BBQ. The garden is mostly lawn. We have chickens, they roam about. There's a bench at the back looking over the fields.

The property is all on one level and the doorways are wide. There's a ramp to the front door. It should be okay for a wheelchair.

There's a pub that does food you can walk to. The nearest shop with a post office is about a mile away.

Hereford is five miles off. It's a small city. The cathedral is there, with the Mappa Mundi. You can find places to eat and drink.

For walking, you can start right from the cottage. Offa's Dyke Path isn't far. Hergest Ridge gives you good views. Hay-on-Wye is about a half hour drive, that's the book town. From there you're at the edge of the Brecon Beacons.

Facilities: WiFi, Smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
