The Coach House is in Portway, just outside Hereford. It’s a detached cottage next to our place, where we live. You get a private garden that looks over the stable yard. There’s a summer house in the garden with some chairs. It’s a good spot to sit.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating. Everything’s included: bedding, towels, electricity.
The property is detached, so no shared walls. There’s parking right outside. Inside, there’s a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. There’s a BBQ and somewhere to put bikes if you bring them. You can bring one dog.
You’re about four miles from Hereford. The cathedral there is worth a look, especially for the Mappa Mundi. The city has shops and places to eat.
For walks, you’re not far from Offa’s Dyke and Hergest Ridge. Hay-on-Wye is about half an hour’s drive. Queenswood Country Park is nearby and has a Gruffalo trail for kids. If you want to go further, the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains are within reach.
