Cider Mill Hereford

Cider Mill is on our farm, near Hereford. It's a converted farm building, so it's single storey, no stairs. The views from the patio are the main thing. They look out west over our fields and the hills beyond.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-kept, with things like a dishwasher and good WiFi. There's a hot tub on the patio, which is private.

You're on a working farm. That means you'll hear farm noises sometimes, like tractors. It also means you have direct access to the countryside from your door. There's about 200 acres of common land right there for walking.

A pub is two miles away, in the village. They do food. The nearest shop and a restaurant are a bit further, about two and a quarter miles, in the other direction.

Hereford is a 15-minute drive. It's a proper cathedral city with supermarkets and the usual high street shops. Hay-on-Wye is about 30 minutes away, for the books and the atmosphere. Ross-on-Wye and Abergavenny are also within half an hour. Symonds Yat is popular for the river views and walking, that's 25 minutes.

If you like castles, Goodrich Castle is very close, maybe 20 minutes by car. The River Wye is good for canoeing, and there are local companies that hire out equipment.

Facilities: everything listed is included - bedding, towels, dishwasher, washing machine. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
