Box Tree Barn

It's called Box Tree Barn. It's out in Hampton Bishop, so you're in the country but only about three miles from Hereford.

It's a detached barn conversion. It's got a 5 Star rating because it's all been done to a high standard, so it's quite a smart place. Sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a big super king bed you can split into twins if needed. They both have TVs. The shower room is downstairs, next to the kitchen.

The main room is all open plan. Tiled floor with underfloor heating, which is lovely in winter. There's a wood burning stove too. The big bi-fold doors open right up onto your own patio, so it's nice and light. The garden is enclosed and looks out over fields.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. There's an electric vehicle charger on site and space to store bikes.

Now, the stairs. They're in the living area and they're open-tread and a bit steep. Just something to be aware of.

The owners live next door in the main cottage, so they're on hand if you need anything but the barn is all yours.

There's a local pub in the village, a short walk away. It's a proper country pub. A couple of golf courses are nearby too, if that's your thing.

Hereford is the obvious trip. It's got the cathedral with the Mappa Mundi, which is fascinating. Plenty of shops and places to eat. Ledbury is a nice market town not far away, about a fifteen minute drive.

If you want to explore, you're well placed for the Wye Valley and the Malverns. The National Trust has a few properties around, like Berrington Hall. The Forestry England website is good for walks in the Queen Elizabeth Forest.

Bedding and towels are included. No pets sorry.
