The Lookout
The Lookout is on our farm near Hope under Dinmore, just off the A49. It's a detached bungalow, so it's all on one level. You get your own patio and garden area. The main thing is the view. It looks west, over the fields towards the Shropshire hills. Good for sunsets.
It's for two people. One bedroom, two bathrooms. One's an en-suite shower room, the other's a ground floor wet room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. We've tried to make it nice.
The bungalow is in the farm park. You'll see pygmy goats, some rare breed sheep, and alpacas in the fields around. They're just there, going about their business.
Queenswood Country Park is right next door. You can walk straight into it. It's good for a stroll. The National Trust has a few places nearby, like Berrington Hall and Croft Castle, if that's your sort of thing.
Leominster is about six miles away for shops. Hereford is about eight miles. There's a fuel station with a shop in Hope under Dinmore, and another in Bodenham. A few decent pubs are within a five mile drive.
It's a quiet spot. But if you want to get out, you're not far from the Welsh border. The Offa's Dyke path is close. Ludlow, Ledbury, and Ross-on-Wye are all within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
If you're coming with more people, we have another cottage called The Grange on the same site. You can book both together.
