The Stables

The Stables is on a quiet lane just outside Sedgefield. It's a barn conversion, all on one floor, so no stairs to worry about. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

It's a new conversion, so everything works properly. The ceilings are high with oak beams, and it has underfloor heating, which is great in winter. The main room is open plan. Doors lead out to your own garden, which is fully enclosed. There's a patio and a decent sized lawn.

You can walk into Sedgefield village in about ten minutes. There's a green, a few pubs that do food, some cafes, and the usual shops. Hardwick Park is nearby for a stroll around the lake.

It's well connected by road. Durham city is about a fifteen minute drive. The cathedral and castle are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beamish Museum is about twenty minutes away, which is a full day out. Sedgefield Racecourse is just outside the village.

Within half an hour you can get to the coast, like Seaton Carew. Heading west, you can be in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty quite quickly. Richmond in Yorkshire is about forty minutes south.

In terms of what's here: there's parking, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
