Riverbank Cottage Broadford

Riverbank Cottage is in Broadford on Skye. It's right on the water, so you get the view straight out across the bay. The sitting room looks up towards Beinn na Caillich.

It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well kept. The kitchen's fine for cooking holiday meals in. There's a woodburning stove for chilly evenings.

Broadford has a Co-op for groceries, a couple of places to eat, and a petrol station. It’s useful. The Skye Bridge is about ten minutes drive away, so getting on and off the island is straightforward.

If you want to climb, the Cuillin hills are a serious day out. For something gentler, the walk up to the Old Man of Storr is about forty minutes north. The Quiraing is a bit further but the driving there is part of the trip.

The ferry to Mallaig leaves from Armadale, which is down in Sleat. That whole south end of the island is wooded and quiet, good for a drive. Dunvegan Castle is about forty minutes away if you want a castle visit.

For local walks and planning, you might find Walkhighlands useful. The National Trust for Scotland has Glencoe and other places within a couple of hours drive.

Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a small patio area. No pets, sorry.
