Cuillin View

This is Cuillin View in Torrin on the Isle of Skye. It’s a detached cottage. It sleeps six, but it’s only got two bedrooms, so three people will need to use the sofa bed in the living space. There’s one bathroom with a shower.

It’s a simple, traditional place. You’ve got a wood stove in the main room for heating. It can be chilly up here, even in summer, so that’s useful. The layout is open plan on the ground floor.

You get a small garden area and there’s parking right by the cottage. The broadband is okay for normal use, but it’s the countryside so streaming can be a bit slow.

The view from here is what you’re paying for. You can see the Cuillin ridge from the property, on a clear day. The name isn’t wrong. Torrin has a small local beach. You can walk to it.

Broadford is about six miles away for shops and fuel. Portree, the main town, is about twenty five miles north. Driving feels slower here, so allow time.

If you like walking, the whole island is there for you. Blaven is close by. The Walkhighlands website has good route advice. The Fairy Pools are a half hour drive, but they get very busy. Elgol, for boat trips, is a short drive south. For local history, Armadale Castle is about forty minutes away.

Facilities are straightforward. Everything you’d expect is here: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, towels and bedding are included. No pets allowed, sorry.
