Tigh An Dun

Tigh An Dun is in Dunan, right on the side of Loch Duich. It's a detached cottage. You get the place to yourselves, with a garden and patio. The view from there is across the loch.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a four star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. It's not modern, it's a traditional cottage.

Inside, you come into the kitchen. There's a dining room with a wood burner. The owner has left a binoculars on a stand in there for looking at the water and the wildlife. Otters and sea lions are sometimes out there. There's a separate TV room and a living room with another wood burner.

Outside, there's a sauna. It's just a basic one, but it's there if you want it. You can sit with a coffee out there in the morning.

For things to do, you're on the mainland side, not far from the bridge to Skye. Eilean Donan Castle is about a ten minute drive. It's the famous one you see in pictures. On Skye, the main sights like the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr, and Neist Point Lighthouse are all within a 30 to 45 minute drive. It's a good base for exploring.

Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
