Harbour View

Harbour View is a flat right on the harbour in Dunure. It's up a flight of stairs above the old harbour buildings. The view from the front rooms is straight out over the water.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The stairs up to the flat are stone and a bit narrow, so watch your step.

The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen has what you need. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

Dunure itself is small. There's a pub that does food, a shop for basics, and the beach is just there. The coastal path runs right past the door. You can walk from here along the cliffs to Culzean Castle. It's a good few miles, but a nice walk if you've got the time.

Girvan is about ten minutes by car. They've got more shops, a swimming pool, and from there you can get boat trips out to Ailsa Craig if you want to see the birds.

Culzean Castle is about fifteen minutes away. It's National Trust and worth a visit. The grounds are good for walking. The famous Turnberry golf course is just a bit further along the coast.

If you want to go further, the Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive. It's a huge area for walking and they've got the dark sky park for stargazing. Ayr and Troon are along the coast too.
