The Old Haybarn is a detached lodge on the edge of Church Broughton. It used to be a hay barn. The conversion is modern, so it's bright and open inside. You get the place to yourselves.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower downstairs and one with a bath upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped.
Outside, there's a private patio with a table and chairs, and a hot tub. The view is across fields. It's quiet.
The village has a shop, a post office, and a pub that does food. All within walking distance.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the countryside. The Peak District is about a 20-minute drive north. Ashbourne is ten minutes south. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets, shops, and cafes.
For a good day out, Dovedale is close by. It’s a National Trust valley with stepping stones and good walks. National Trust Peak District has details. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both about half an hour's drive. Alton Towers is also within 30 minutes if that's your thing.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
