The Milking Parlour

The Milking Parlour is in Anslow, Staffordshire. It's part of a converted building next to an equestrian centre, so the views are all fields.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs - one double, one twin - and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The conversion means some of the doors are a bit low, so watch your head if you're tall. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs.

You can bring up to two dogs. Horse owners can also bring their horse, as it's on the equestrian centre site. You'd need to contact me about that first to arrange stabling.

The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. The entrance is level and wheelchair accessible, but the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs.

It's a quiet village. There's a farm shop and tea room about a mile away. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Burton upon Trent, which is about four miles.

Location wise, you're fairly central. St George's Park, the England football centre, is about ten minutes away in the car. The National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas is about twenty minutes. It's a significant site, so allow a few hours if you go.

The Peak District is within half an hour's drive for walking. Alton Towers is about twenty-five minutes away. For a quieter day out, Sudbury Hall, which is a National Trust property, is even closer.
