The Old Farmhouse

The Old Farmhouse is on the edge of Church Broughton, just off the main road through the village. It's detached, so no shared walls. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. The views from the back are over open fields.

It sleeps seven people. There are four bedrooms. One of them is downstairs, which is handy. There's one bathroom, but it's a good size with both a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

The kitchen is big and has a table in it. There's a utility room next to it, which is where the washing machine is and where you can leave muddy boots. The living room has a wood burner and doors that open onto the patio. Outside, there's a private hot tub.

In the village, there's a shop and a pub, both within walking distance. The pub does food.

You're about ten minutes by car from Ashbourne. It's a nice market town with proper shops and places to eat. For walking, the Peak District is right on the doorstep. Dovedale is probably the most famous bit and it's close by. It's National Trust, so you have to pay to park. National Trust Peak District.

If you want a big day out, Chatsworth House is about forty minutes' drive. Alton Towers is roughly twenty-five minutes away. Matlock Bath and Bakewell are easy to get to as well.

As for facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Plenty of parking on the drive.

We don't allow pets, I'm afraid.
