Dreamcatcher is a house on South Hayling beach, right on the shingle. The view looks straight out over the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. We keep it clean and comfortable. There's a big open plan room downstairs with the kitchen at one end. The main living area has that view through the glass doors. There's a smaller second sitting area with a sofa bed and its own TV.
The big glass fronted terrace is the main thing. You can sit out there and watch the sea and the boats. It's good in all weathers.
The beach is dog friendly all year, which is handy because we take up to two pets. There's a path straight onto the shingle.
For facilities, it's got everything you'd expect: Washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, parking for a couple of cars. Bedding and towels are included. We've also got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
Hayling Island is quiet. The beach is mainly shingle, but there's sand at low tide. It's known for windsurfing and kite surfing. There's a local pub and shops. The Hayling Billy light railway runs along the seafront, and there's a pitch and putt golf course.
If you want to go further, you can drive into Portsmouth. The ferry over to the Isle of Wight leaves from there. The Historic Dockyard with HMS Victory is worth a visit. Goodwood, for the Festival of Speed, is about a 30 minute drive.
Useful links for planning: Visit Hampshire and the National Trust South Downs, which is just inland.
