The Chicken Shed is in Cold Ashton, out in the countryside near Bath. It's a one-bedroom place for two people. It's a converted stone building, so you've got the old beams and thick walls. It's all on one level, which is handy.
The front doors open right out onto your own bit of garden with a table and chairs. It looks over fields. Inside, it's open plan: a living area with a sofa and TV, a kitchenette, and the bed is in an alcove off the main room. It's got underfloor heating, which takes the chill off the stone floor. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The kitchen has a small fridge but no freezer, just so you know.
The village is quiet. You'll need a car. Bath is about seven miles away. You can drive in, or there are park and ride options. It's got everything you'd need: the Roman Baths, the Abbey, good shops and restaurants.
There are a lot of good walking routes from here. The Cotswold Way passes close by. For a day out, Lacock village is about twenty minutes drive. It's a National Trust place and they've filmed a lot of things there. Castle Combe is similar, maybe twenty-five minutes. Both are nice for a stroll and a pub lunch.
Useful links if you're planning: National Trust Bath and English Heritage Stonehenge. Stonehenge is about a forty-five minute drive.
Facilities are straightforward: parking, WiFi, TV, your own garden, bedding and towels are provided. No pets.
