Shaplands Barn is in Cold Ashton, a small village near the M4. It's a converted barn, one of two next to each other on a quiet lane. It's a four-star property, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
It sleeps six people in two bedrooms. Both rooms are en-suite, so there are two bathrooms. The living area is open-plan and feels light. There's a wood burner and underfloor heating.
The village is on the Cotswold Way footpath, so it's good for walking. You can see more about the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Cotswolds AONB site.
Bath is about six miles away. You've got the Roman Baths and all the Georgian architecture. The National Trust's Dyrham Park is a short drive away, and it's a good day out. You can find information on National Trust Dyrham Park.
Westonbirt Arboretum is also nearby, and Lacock village is about a twenty-minute drive.
For a shop or a pub, you'd go to Marshfield, which is the next village along. They've got a village shop and a couple of places to eat.
Facilities: there's parking, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
