The noticeable landmark of Lytham Green is also just a few minutes walk and overlooks the River Ribble out towards the Welsh Mountains. Here you’ll also find the iconic restored Windmill and Old Lytham Lifeboat House Museum. You can enjoy a tour of Lytham Brewery whilst sampling some craft ales, explore the rolling sandy dunes of St Annes or bird watch at the Ribble Estuary, which provides a safe haven for more than 250, 000 migrating birds each winter.
St Annes is home to a pretty pier and charming colourful beach huts, and a short walk from the pier brings you to St Annes Square and Wood Street, where you can find more charming coffee shops, tearooms, restaurants and shops. The area is internationally renowned for golf with four excellent courses to choose from, and fun-filled frolics are available in neighbouring Blackpool which needs little introduction.
