The Barn Spofforth

The Barn is on our property, just past the main house. It's a single-storey barn conversion we did some years back, sleeps two.

It's one bedroom with a super king bed and an en-suite shower room. The living area is open plan with the kitchen. There's a stable door that opens out to your own patio area with a table and chairs. You'll see our chickens wandering about.

The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean. The ceilings are low in places because of the beams, so if you're very tall you'll need to mind your head.

Spofforth village is quiet. There's a pub about five minutes' walk away, The Castle, which does food. Spofforth Castle ruins are just up the lane, it's an English Heritage site. Good for a short walk. English Heritage Spofforth Castle.

You're well placed for getting about. Harrogate is a ten minute drive. That's where Betty's is, and the Valley Gardens. Wetherby is about the same in the other direction. Knaresborough is close too.

For longer days out, York is under 40 minutes. Leeds is about half an hour. The edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is under an hour's drive. Yorkshire Dales National Park.

In the barn there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and Smart TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. There's parking right next to it.

We don't allow pets in the barn, sorry. We have our own dog here.
