High Trees View is just outside Knaresborough centre, up near the golf course. It's a detached house, modern build, so everything works properly and is well insulated.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so no queueing. There's a lift that goes to all floors, which is handy if you've got luggage or anyone with mobility issues. The stairs are normal.
The main living area is on the top floor. You get the view from up there, over the treetops. There are big bifold doors onto a balcony. The garden is out the back, up a little bridge over a ditch. It's enclosed.
Knaresborough town is a ten minute walk downhill. There's a market on Wednesdays. The river's nice for a stroll, and you can hire boats. The castle is worth a look. For a proper day out, Harrogate is about twenty minutes drive. They've got lots of shops and restaurants there.
You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Good walking and cycling right from the door. The Yorkshire Dales National Park authority site has maps and route ideas. National Trust Yorkshire properties like Fountains Abbey aren't far.
For facilities, it's got the basics covered: washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, plenty of parking including an electric car charger. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them.
