The Annexe is in Knaresborough. It's in our garden, but it's all yours when you're here. We're at the top of the house, you're at the bottom. We'll say hello if we see you, but otherwise we'll leave you to it.
It sleeps three. It's one bedroom with a double and a single bed, and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Everything works.
You've got your own little patio area out the back with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the evening. Parking is right outside on the drive.
You're about five minutes' walk from the town centre. There's a Co-op about 200 yards away for basics. A couple of decent pubs are a bit further on, they both do food.
Knaresborough itself is lovely. The river runs through the gorge under the old railway viaduct. You can hire a rowing boat down there. The castle is ruins, but the view from it is worth the walk up. Mother Shipton's Cave is the tourist thing, where the water turns things to stone. It's a nice stroll along the river to get there.
Harrogate is about four miles away. That's where you'll find Betty's Tea Rooms, the Turkish Baths, and more shops. The train from Knaresborough station gets you into York in under half an hour, which is easier than driving and parking.
For walking, the Nidd Gorge is right on the doorstep. If you want to drive, you can be in the Yorkshire Dales or the North York Moors in well under an hour. The coast at Whitby or Scarborough is about the same.
In terms of what's here, it's all included: bedding, towels, TV, washing machine, parking. The heating is electric. No pets, sorry.
