Penny Cottage

Penny Cottage is a cottage set in the heart of the picturesque town of Dollar. There are two bedrooms and an open-plan living space which is complimented by a wood burner, adding some charm or romance to those chilly evenings. The kitchen provides all you’ll need to enjoy your home away from home, including glasses, crockery and utensils, and all the appliances that make life easier. The cottage is equipped with all modern amenities, including high speed fibre broadband, TV and a washer/dryer, whilst maintaining the charm and character of a traditional cottage. On road parking is located to the front, and a public car park behind the property can easily be accessed.
Dollar is known to be the most sought after of the towns lining the Ochil Hills. A burn runs through the centre of the town and is a stunning feature in every season. Dollar Glen provides hill walks and access to Castle Campbell, where tours are available in season. There are a range of amenities where all essentials can be obtained, as well as a pub, restaurant, bar, café and deli. There is also a beauty salon, chemist and doctor’s surgery. Buses to Stirling and St Andrews are available from Dollar. It is recommended to have a hire car as public transport does not pass through more frequently than every 2 hours. Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews and the Highlands are within an hour’s drive. Located approximately 9 miles from Gleneagles Golf Course and 35 miles from St Andrews Links, this is also an ideal property for golfers.
