Little Glencrest

Little Glencrest is a detached cottage in Butterknowle, just outside Copley. It sleeps two.

The place is all on one level. There's one bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite wet room with a walk-in shower. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. The living room has French doors that open onto the terrace.

Outside, there's a private, enclosed garden. The terrace has a bistro set and a wood-fired hot tub. It's a proper dark sky area, so the stars are good on a clear night.

It's a quiet village. There's a pub a few minutes walk away. For walks, you can head straight out from the door. The North Pennines AONB is a short drive. Hamsterley Forest is about ten minutes away for trails. Hamsterley Forest has a lot of routes for walking and cycling.

Barnard Castle is a market town about fifteen minutes by car. It has pubs, shops, and a weekly farmers' market. Raby Castle is nearby. Bishop Auckland is about a quarter of an hour away, with Auckland Castle and the Spanish Art Gallery. Durham city, with the cathedral and castle, is roughly forty minutes' drive. Durham Cathedral is worth the trip.

Facilities include WiFi, a Smart TV, and a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking on site.
