Little Glencrest is a detached, single-storey cottage in the village of Copley, near Butterknowle. It's in County Durham, on the edge of the Durham Dales. It's very quiet here. You're surrounded by fields.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom. The bedroom has a king-size bed and an ensuite wet room with a walk-in shower. The whole place is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible at the entrance.
The main room has French doors that open onto a private, enclosed garden. There's a flagged terrace with a bistro set and festoon lights. The garden is lawned and secure for dogs. There's a wood-fired hot tub on the terrace. It's a Kiriami tub. You get a good amount of firewood for it included.
Inside, there's a wood burner for cooler evenings. There's a smart TV and WiFi. All bedding and towels are provided. The rating is 4 Star, which reflects the standard of finish.
You're in a farming area with lots of footpaths from the door. The North Pennines AONB is a few minutes' drive away. Hamsterley Forest is about ten minutes by car for walking and cycling trails.
Barnard Castle is a 15-minute drive. It's a market town with shops, pubs, and a castle. Raby Castle is also close by. Bishop Auckland is about 15 minutes away; you can visit Auckland Castle and the Spanish Gallery there. Durham city, with the cathedral and castle, is about 40 minutes' drive.
There is on-site parking. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
