The Retreat is a one-bedroom cottage in Nettleham village. It's a new conversion from an old workshop, so it sleeps two people. It's got a 5 Star rating.
The layout is upside down. The bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor. The living room and kitchen are upstairs. The stairs are normal indoor stairs, not a ladder or anything, but it's worth knowing.
Outside there's an enclosed garden. It's got a hot tub and an outdoor shower you can use to rinse off after it. There's room to store bikes and an electric car charger.
You're right in the village. There are a couple of pubs, a Greek restaurant, and a shop, all a couple of minutes' walk away. The butcher's is good.
Lincoln is about a ten-minute drive. The castle and cathedral are up on the hill. The Lincoln Cathedral website has opening times. The waterfront area at Brayford Wharf has restaurants and you can get boat trips from there.
If you want to walk, the Lincolnshire Wolds are about 20 minutes' drive away. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Lincolnshire Wolds site has route maps. Market Rasen racecourse is in that direction too.
The cottage has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, but because of the stairs inside, the living area upstairs isn't. Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed.
