The Olde Barn Welton Hill

The Olde Barn is on our farm. It's a semi-detached barn conversion, so half of it's ours for storage and you get the other half. It's on Welton Hill, about halfway between Lincoln and Market Rasen. You're on a bit of a rise here, so you get views across the fields.

It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, comfortable. Everything's on one level except the bedroom, which is up a staircase. It's not a ladder, but they're proper stairs.

Because it's a working farm, you'll see horses and a few other animals about. We're around if you need anything. The garden bit is yours, it's enclosed. There's parking right outside.

The nearest pub and shop are about a mile and a half away in Welton village. It's a nice walk down the hill, a bit more of a slog coming back up. The pub does food.

Lincoln is nine miles. The cathedral and the castle are up on the hill, the Bailgate area. Down by the river is the Brayford Pool, with restaurants. Market Rasen is the other way, also nine miles. It's a market town, has a racecourse.

You're right on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It's good walking and cycling country. Quiet roads and lanes. If you drive for about half an hour you can get to Newark, they have big antiques fairs at the showground. The coast is about 28 miles, if you fancy that.

Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen with a dishwasher, living area, TV. WiFi is included. There's a shower. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a BBQ outside. We don't allow pets, sorry.
