This is the Bluebell. It's one of four cottages on a farm site in Bincombe, Somerset. We're at the bottom of the Quantock Hills, just outside Over Stowey.
It's a new build, finished in 2021, so everything's modern and works properly. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two have king-size beds, one has a super king with its own en-suite shower room. There's also a family bathroom upstairs.
The layout is upside-down. The bedrooms are on the ground floor. You live upstairs in the big open-plan kitchen and living area. The reason for that is the view. You can see right out over the fields to the coast. On a good day, you can see Glastonbury Tor in the distance. There are doors out to a balcony from the living area.
Downstairs, there's an enclosed garden that's just for you. It's got a hot tub, outdoor seating, and a barbecue.
Practical stuff: there's parking right there, underfloor heating, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The farm is quiet and rural. The village of Nether Stowey is about a mile away for a shop and a pub. For a day out, the coast at Kilve is about four miles. It's a pebble beach, good for fossils. Watchet, Minehead, and Burnham-on-Sea are all within a 30-minute drive.
You're right on the edge of the Quantock Hills, which is fantastic for walking. Exmoor National Park isn't far either. Dunster Castle and Wells are both easy drives, as is Clarks Village in Street if you need some shopping.
