Thornes Farm Annexe is in Weacombe, Somerset. It's a cottage attached to our farmhouse. You look out over our fields at the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one shower room. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The living room has French doors to a small patio. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
You should know there's a step up from the hall into the kitchen area, and a step down from the living room into the bedroom hallway. The shower room has underfloor heating, which is nice.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio at the back that gets the morning sun and a larger courtyard at the front that's sunny in the afternoon. You're welcome to use the barbecue.
It's a working farm, so you'll see cattle and sheep in the fields. In spring, there are often lambs. We can sometimes show you the animals if we're around and it's safe. We also have stabling available by arrangement if you want to bring horses.
The local pub is about a mile away. Another is a quarter of a mile further. The coast at Watchet is about three miles. Minehead is a short drive along the coast.
You're right on the edge of the Quantock Hills. The Quantock Hills National Landscape has loads of walking and riding routes. The Coleridge Way path passes close by. Exmoor is about a 30-minute drive. The West Somerset Railway runs steam trains from Bishop's Lydeard to Minehead. Watchet has a marina and a museum.
Included in the cottage: all bedding and towels, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
