Wrangler's Den is a wooden cabin on a small working ranch. It's near Rainworth, on the edge of Sherwood Forest. You can see the horses from the deck. You sometimes see deer in the field in the evening.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a decent shower. It’s comfortable, not massive. The wood burner makes it warm.
The outside decking has a chair or two to sit on. There's an enclosed patio area as well. The ranch is quiet, but there are animals about, so it's not completely silent. The parking is right by the cabin.
Sherwood Forest is right there for walks. The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre is about a ten minute drive. It’s good if you have kids who are into Robin Hood.
Clumber Park is a 20 minute drive. It's a National Trust site, great for cycling or a long walk. Rufford Abbey Country Park is about 15 minutes away. It has a lake and a café.
Nottingham is maybe 25 minutes by car if you need the city, or a big shop. The surrounding area is called The Dukeries, lots of big estates and parkland to explore.
Inside, there’s bedding and towels provided, a washing machine, and a proper kitchen. There's a BBQ outside. It runs on electricity, all included. Because it's wood, the stairs inside are a bit steep and narrow.
It’s listed as glamping, but it’s a solid cabin. Just think of it as a small, wooden holiday house.
