It's called Hidden Gem but honestly, I just call it the cottage. It's in Edwinstowe, right by Sherwood Forest. You can walk into the Forest in a few minutes.
It’s a modern house, sleeps six but in two bedrooms. One room’s got a double bed and a projector on the ceiling for watching films on the wall. The second bedroom's smaller, also a double. There’s one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main thing is the garden. There’s a built-in bar out there with a fire pit, lights you can change the colour of, and a projector screen for watching films outside. There’s a patio at the front with a table for breakfast too.
Inside, there’s Apple TV with Netflix and the like already on it, wi-fi speakers, and a Smart TV in the living room. The kitchen has the usual stuff: dishwasher, washing machine, all that. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one dog. There’s parking on the drive.
Edwinstowe village has a couple of pubs that do food. The forest is the big draw. The National Trust runs it now, and the Visitor Centre is about Robin Hood. You can walk for miles. Go Ape is there if you want that. Clumber Park is about a 20 minute drive. Worksop is about 15 minutes away for bigger shops.
Further out, within half an hour or so, you’ve got Rufford Abbey, Newstead Abbey, and the market town of Newark. Nottingham city centre is about a 40 minute drive.
