This is Courtyard Lodge. It's in Rufford, Nottinghamshire. It's a barn conversion. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-finished and comfortable. All on the ground floor, which makes it easy.
You have your own private entrance that leads straight into the Rufford Abbey grounds. It's handy. You can just wander straight out. The lodge itself sits in our garden, but it's separate and you've got your own space front and back.
Inside, it's spacious for two. There's a wood burner for when it's cold. It works well. There's a patio out the front and a terrace at the back, so you can sit outside. The shower is good.
A decent pub is about half a mile down the road for food. The shop is about the same distance.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. You can walk or cycle from the door. Rufford Abbey is right there. Clumber Park is about a ten minute drive. Sherwood Pines is maybe fifteen minutes. Newark, Lincoln, and Nottingham are all within half an hour by car.
It has the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. It's set up to be accessible for a wheelchair at the entrance. We don't take pets.
If you're planning visits, the main sites are Rufford Abbey, Clumber Park, and Sherwood Pines.
