Courtyard Lodge is in Rufford. It's a semi-detached barn conversion that sleeps two. It's in our garden, but it's completely separate with its own entrance.
It's a ground floor place, everything on one level, which is handy. The main thing is the location. You get a private key to the gates of Rufford Abbey Country Park. It's about a thirty second walk from your door into the gardens. We use it all the time.
The place itself is modern and warm. It's got underfloor heating and a wood burner for the evenings. There's a terrace out the front and a little patio out the back, so you can follow the sun. It's all one bedroom, with the bathroom ensuite. It's a five star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
There's a pub about half a mile away in Rufford village that does food. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Ollerton or Newark.
You're really well placed for getting out. Clumber Park is about ten minutes by car. Sherwood Pines is maybe fifteen minutes. Nottingham city centre is half an hour if you want that. Lincoln is about forty-five minutes. It's good for cyclists and walkers, with routes straight from the door.
In terms of what's here: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance and throughout.
