Sherwood Forest Lodge 2 is on the edge of Kings Clipstone. It’s a one-storey lodge, so no stairs at all. It’s detached and looks out towards the trees.
It sleeps two people in one bedroom. There’s one bathroom with a shower. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s well kept and comfortable. The main room is open plan.
You get a private garden with a patio and a BBQ. Inside there’s a dishwasher, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The back gate opens straight onto the National Cycle Trail. Sherwood Pines forest is right there, literally a few steps away. You can walk or cycle for miles. The ruins of King John’s Castle are next to the site.
There’s a pub and restaurant about half a mile down the road. The nearest shop is in the village, a mile and a half away.
If you want to drive out, Rufford Abbey and Clumber Park are close. Clumber Park is National Trust. Go Ape and the cycle centre are in Sherwood Pines itself. For a day out, Hardwick Hall or Newstead Abbey are about twenty-five minutes by car.
This lodge is one of two on the plot. You can book both together if you’re a group.
