This charming and unique property can be found on the Aberdeen coastline, inside the original, walled, Aberdeen Girdleness Lighthouse compound, designed by Robert Stevenson . The lighthouse has a Grade A listing with Historic Scotland as a building of architectural and historic interest. 4 Lighthouse Cottage is a wonderful two-bedroomed holiday cottage, which has too a professionally designed interior throughout and still maintains its unique charm and character, including high ceilings, a Belfast sink in the kitchen and a feature roll-top bath.
The coastal location is superb, on a headland south of Aberdeen harbour yet only a 10 minute drive to the centre of Aberdeen, suitable for both business and leisure visitors. Aberdeen city centre, including Aberdeen’s shopping and leisure mall, railway station, ferry and harbour are only two miles away. The surrounding area is a natural beauty spot with the dramatic coastline forming part of the District Wildlife Site. The surrounding cliffs attract a wide range of wild birds and bottlenose dolphins, which are a popular sight swimming up and down the coast. In fact the nearby mouth at Aberdeen harbour is one of the best places in Europe to see dolphins. Balnagask Golf Club is within walking distance and shares the headland with the lighthouse; it offers nine and 18-hole golf courses, as well as pitch and putt.
4 Lighthouse Cottage can be booked together with 1 Lighthouse Cottage and 2 Girdleness Lighthouse to accommodate up to 15 guests.
