Willow Cottage
Willow Cottage is in Sandwick, on the Isle of Lewis. It's a detached house. The living room looks out over the water to the mainland. You can see the ferry coming and going from here.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. The stairs are a bit steep, and there's a small single bedroom on the halfway landing. It works fine, but you should know.
It's a five minute walk down a lane to a sandy beach. The garden is enclosed, which is useful. Stornoway is about two miles away. That's where the big supermarket is, and a few places to eat. Being close to town is handy for stocking up or catching the ferry.
The cottage has a wood burner in the dining room and a gas fire in the living room. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The WiFi works.
For things to see, the Callanish Standing Stones are about a twenty minute drive. The road out to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse is good for a blowy walk. The beaches at Tolsta and Gress are a short drive north. If you head south through the hills, you're on Harris. The beaches at Luskentyre are about an hour's drive from here.
