Ryka Lodge

Ryka Lodge is in Upper Coll, on the east coast of Lewis. It's a new build, finished in 2022. The main thing is it's very well put together, everything works as it should, and it's spotlessly clean. That's what the 4 Star means.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have their own shower rooms. The main bathroom is quite something. It has a jacuzzi bath with a TV built into the wall, a separate walk-in shower, and an infrared sauna cabin.

Outside, there's a good bit of parking. The garden is enclosed, with a lawn and a patio area. The hot tub is there, under a shelter. It fits seven.

You're about a ten minute drive from Stornoway for shops and supermarkets. The location is quiet. You look out over fields to the sea loch.

For beaches, you've got a lot to choose from. Luskentyre sands over in Harris are about an hour's drive, but it's worth it. Closer to home, places like Tolsta Beach are maybe twenty minutes. The whole island is good for walking. The Callanish Stones are a big draw, about half an hour west.

In terms of what's here, it's all the stuff you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
