This is the 'Lewis' hut. It's one of four on the edge of Stornoway. They're big, single-room studios, built by the owner.
It sleeps two in a double bed. There's a sofa bed too, but that's really for occasional use. One bathroom with a good sized shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean, comfortable and functional.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchenette, a small dining area, a double bed, and the sofa. They feel quite spacious. The ceiling is high. We have a separate hut on site just for laundry and drying, with racks and a dehumidifier. It's useful if you've been walking or cycling in the wet.
You're about a ten minute walk from the centre of Stornoway. That means you can go for a meal or a drink without needing a car or a taxi. The Lews Castle grounds and museum are even closer.
For things further out, you'll need a car. The Callanish Standing Stones are about twenty minutes drive. The thatched blackhouse village at Garenin is under half an hour. The beaches on Harris, like Luskentyre, are about an hour away.
In terms of stuff here, it has a TV, WiFi, on-site parking, and a patio area. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine in the shared laundry hut. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
