Home Farm Lodge is an apartment at the end of our drive. It's detached, so you're on your own. It's peaceful. There's a patio that looks out over a field and a lake. The view is open.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 5 Star rating, which covers things like it being luxurious, good fittings, very clean. It's basically one big open plan room, with the living, kitchen and dining area together. The bedroom is through a door.
You're ten metres from your own lake if you want to fish. Just bring your gear. There's a shop and a pub in Baston village, two miles away. They're fine. The kitchen has a dishwasher.
Stamford is eight miles. It's a nice town, good for cafes and shopping. Barnsdale Gardens, which Geoff Hamilton from Gardeners' World did, is about 12 miles. Rutland Water is a 25-minute drive. You can do walks, cycling, and sailing there.
Things like Burghley House and the market towns of Oakham and Uppingham are all within half an hour by car.
The place has Wi-Fi, a TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
